EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Equal rights and equal opportunities plays a role in everyone’s life, but not everyone realizes it. It’s involved in every comment you make that includes someone different. Every near discriminatory joke you say. It affects people, even if it doesn’t affect you.
Human rights means being able to hold hands with the person you love, work where you’re qualified to work without your skin color or sexual orientation being the reason you can’t; it means having the right to be human, making choices and mistakes. Society has gotten to the point where people think it doesn’t matter what they say, that they think their comments and hate don’t affect other people. Humans are often hurtful towards each other, but I believe we all were born with the innate of compassion and love. I see people not being able to marry someone they love because they are the same gender, even though it is acceptable to marry someone then divorce the next day. I hear and see this type of thing everyday; people being ignorant and neglecting the notion that all humans are equal. I wish I didn’t see bias and prejudice, but I do. Everyone has also their opportunity to make theirselves more progressive and proficient by having their rights.

So overall what I’m trying to say is any human beings should always be treated with respect, whether you like the person or not. Respect their own rights, and hopefully they’ll respect yours. Just like the saying, treat others how you want to be treated.  The right to be who we’re destined to be belongs to everyone, not just people who are favored or socially acceptable. I can look around and see a flawed humanity. My one hope is to see that change. Because we may be different on the outside, but we are all human. Nothing else should define us. not race, sex, or sexual orientation.

REFLECTION

2nd grading period had passed. It was all about creating and applying html tags and still with blogging. These have expanded my existing knowledge about it. I have learned how to use it; I have discovered new facts and have improved my skills. I can say that I’m already dealing with it easily now especially in conceptualizing and organizing my thoughts in making my blogs.

I still have many improvements to be done with the succeeding days and months. I should be responsible enough and have a discipline, that's the right thing to do and the only one that will help you. We must move on and welcome the next chapter. I have to move on by focusing on my studies, doing extra effort to catch up and always do my best so that I will not be left behind

INTRAMURALS 2014

Intramurals is the perfect time to highlight good fellowship, sportsmanship and vast talents.

The school is a place where students are nurtured to become a responsible and productive member of the society. It provides a complete means of molding students to become an employee or professional, to the chosen field of endeavor they wish to engage in.
In my opinion and based on my experience, Intramurals is the time where you get to know other people better and where you get to make new friends in your division or cluster because earlier during the semester as a freshman, you aren't really given the chance to do so. Also, during the events, your inner determination is being brought out, as well as teamwork and cooperation. I noticed that there were some controversies and the competition was very heated. This cannot be avoided in any competition. It just shows how much school spirit we have, and how determined we are to win. It also shows that if your team is still standing strong despite the controversies, it means that your team has truly captured the essence of unity.

IMMUNATION: ARMING SCIENCE CLUBBERS WITH HEALTHFUL DEFENSES TOWARDS NATIONAL WELLNESS

Every month of September, we always celebrate the Science Month like the other months that we also celebrated. In this year, we have the theme, “Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful defenses towards National Wellness.”

This theme tells to us to be ready in anything that we are facing right now so that we can prevent ourselves from any kind of danger that makes us weak. Nowadays, many diseases/virus came out that was easily spread. Health is wealth. In this theme, we are talking about our healthiness and on how to prevent diseases.   For me, as a science clubber, we can build a healthy nation if we cooperate with one another. We all know that there are problems we are facing. So many diseases that we are suffering today. And we all know that it is very good to be healthy. Health is a big and many-sided area of human life. I think that among all questions related to the human's body, the health must overcome all other aspects and become the main reference point for finding the answers.

Isang wika, Filipino, isang bansa, Pilipinas; ipagmalaki, magkaisa!

MY TEACHER IS A SUPERHERO

TEACHERS make a difference in every child’s heart. They may seem like ordinary individuals, but they make each day a chance to free young dreams and make these soar high. They may possess no powers and no special strength but they have their best weapons – their wisdom, dedication, patience, and courage.
Schools are considered as the second home for students. Teachers are said to be their second parents. All people in this world start from a baby that has less knowledge to the things around us. However, as we grow up older, our knowledge is also getting bigger. In our present time, we use our knowledge in our daily works.  All of us are born with guide in our side. A guide that leads us not only to success but also to the right path. A guide that we can make him/her a model and a hero. One of this guides are our teachers. For teachers do their job with happiness and contentment. They give their time to us because they want us to learn. They treat us as their second child. For me, teachers are heroes because they try their best to teach us. They want us to develop our skills. They give us advice to our problems in life and an advice that we should make our dreams come true with action, courage, and faith.

I salute my previous, present and future teachers and all the teachers around the world for imparting your knowledge and guiding  us your students. Your footprints will always remain as our guide as we grow and go on with our goals in our lives. To all the teachers in the world, we the students may say that thank you for the ideas we learned, to all the advice and to all the help. And we say that all teachers are heroes.

MY MODERN HERO

Super heroes are not the only ones who we watch from the televisions and cinemas. Heroes are not the only ones who have super powers. But, sometimes, they are the ones who have been there for us from the start. Who believes in us in everything we do. Everyone has their own super heroes. And for me, my own wonder woman, my own super hero, my greatest hero is my mom.
Months before I was born, my mother must have patiently waited and planned for my arrival. Then, at last, the day came, and I was on the scene. I’m sure I had made her nights short, made her food bill rise, and drained all her energy. Still, through all this, she was always there to comfort me and let me know she cared. When trouble came my way, I remember a gentle pat on my head and her saying, “How can I help you with that?” Teen years must have been the worst stage to go through. Rebellious times upset her. Through all these, she was understanding, loving and caring. We have had disagreements, she had her opinions and I have had mine. Although I caused her many sleepless nights, she was always there to comfort me and let me know she cared.
I remember so long ago when I followed so closely behind her. She protected my every move while holding my hand and her love never failed me. As I grew from year to year, her hand opened to allow my reaching out and growth. She watched me strive and achieve, with so much pride and silent prayer. She also let me fail on my own, but was always there to pick me up. I learned so much from her and I realize that I may no longer follow behind her as I did when I was small. I don’t know if I can ever repay her for the gifts of life she’s given me, but if I can live my life giving to others as much as she has given me… I will be following in her footsteps once again. She was always there to help me, to guide me, to laugh with me, to cry with me. But most important, she was always there to love me. And believe me, I am always here to love her no matter what.
A mother is someone who loves and is never afraid to show that love. She sometimes pushes aside her own needs to focus on the needs of others. A mother is a haven of love, a listening ear when no one else cares or has time to listen. She always makes time. A mother gives advice when asked but always with the understanding that it is only advice, leaving her daughter free to make her own choices. Though there are sometimes when mother and daughter don’t agree, a mother respects her daughter’s choices, encourages her decisions, and listens to her reasoning. A mother is all these things to her daughter, and more.
