N E X T C H A P T E R . . .

During the 1st grading period, we talked about the internet and blogging. These have expanded my existing knowledge about it. I have learned how to use it; I have discovered new facts and have improved my skills. At first, I really do have encountered many challenges. Especially in conceptualizing and organizing my thoughts in making my blogs.

I must fight those challenges so that I will be a successful man someday. And challenges are part of our daily lives so that people must learn for their own and to be a good example of a citizen someday and to be a successful man after those challenges of their lives.

Be responsible enough and have a discipline, that's the right thing to do and the only one that will help you. We must move on and welcome the next chapter. I have to move on by focusing on my studies, doing extra effort to catch up and always do my best so that I will not be left behind.

REACTION

President Benigno Aquino III successfully delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City and discussed many matters about our country. He recounted the miseries and problems that our country is going through.  The 2014 SONA has started at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon and has concluded after one hour and 30 minutes.

SONA 2014 highlights the achievements of the government on education, economy, improvement, calamity efforts, jobs, rehabilitation after typhoons and earthquake and many more. I admit that most of the President’s projects are commendable. Particularly the new infrastructures, which was mentioned many times during his SONA, that were constructed during his administration. Also, in our years of being aware with political issues, it was in his administration that many corrupt government officials were penalized. Most, not all, of his chosen secretaries got the trust of many Filipinoes.

I hope that next year, all of his plans for our country will be accomplished and fulfilled. And to help Philippines become a progressive country.

"KALAMIDAD PAGHANDAAN, GUTOM AT MALNUTRISYO'Y IWASAN

When the month of July comes, we usually celebrate the Nutrition Month. All of us are expecting different activities concerning with this celebration.  Through the different activities implemented by our school, we will be able to promote healthy lifestyle because in this simple way, it can help us, specially students to become healthy and they can also show and share their talents in the different contests.

For us, foods are very important during calamities. For me, food should be the first thing that I would keep in case of any emergency.  Some may say, there is always the government to supply foods to us but to think that there's not only you who will be feed by them so we should always keep in our mind that food shortage during calamities may occur. And this may really cause malnutrition. With the theme "Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan", as we all know, the month of June, July and August is the start of the rainy seasons and starvation is increasing and malnutrition is still one of the most serious problem in our country. We celebrate Nutrition Month every year and we always remind people how important nutrition and healthy lifestyle is.  And now, that this kind of climate we have, we must be prepared for we all know that there are again typhoons and we are always affected.

We must be ready and don't let ourselves suffer in starvation and to become malnourished. We must be always ready for different calamities. Let us help each other to stop the hunger and malnutrition and thirst of every Filipino.
